AS-BROADCAST SCRIPTS

What it is…
An As-Broadcast script is created to match the final edited version of the film, television or video production.  Depending on the format, it can include scene headings, action, act breaks and basic camera shots, as well as the verbatim spoken dialogue.

What it’s used for…
An As-Broadcast script serves multiple purposes depending on the format.

  • The Script Format is often used for submitting final projects to various award shows.  It can also be used for preparing foreign language translations.
  • The Technical Format is primarily used for editing, dubbing and subtitling purposes.
  • The Documentary Format is primarily used for editing, dubbing and subtitling purposes and is tailored specifically for documentaries and reality television.
